Stunning hotel and spa, excellent attentive service, fantastic location, spectacular attention to detail! From the moment we arrived, parking was convenient and Breanna at the front desk was so kind and informative. You get upscale spa vibes immediately upon entering your room, reminding you that you're here to relax and unwind. Love the spaciousness of the room and proximity to amenities as well as the beach. The cutest part is the included picnic basket breakfast that is delivered to your room each morning at your selected time. You can take it with you to the terrace or beach. Unique personal touch that I've never encountered at any other hotel. Love this hotel, we will certainly be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hotel was beautiful and so cozy. The staff was welcoming and eager to help. Our room was clean, very comfortable and quiet. We loved the amenities like breakfast brought to the room, the sun deck and pool, restaurant, and walking distance to so many places!
Have been going here for at least 25 years, usually in the winter. Really a wonderful hotel with a great restaurant (Terrace Room) on the ground floor, great bar too. Went there this week for two nights and had dinner downstairs in the Terrace Room. A really relaxing couple of days and a wonderful meal.
Great place. Very short walking distance to Amtrak for getting to Chicago. It's also very boutique in a good way. I didn't know before arriving but it's Frank Lloyd Wright inspired and it's hard to argue with that. Soaking tub and fireplace in some rooms is also great, plus a very quant and cozy view. The breakfast basket is also a really good idea and it's great that it's included. They even had a little card prepared to remind guests about the confusing time change. Negatives are minimal. Wifi seemed a bit slow, TV is a little clunky to use, and for whatever reason there seemed to be a lot of dust that accumulated very quickly (at least in Room 200). Possibly related to the fireplace or just a dirty air filter, I don't know. One weird request, I would love to see "storm rates" that would be last-minute deals specifically when a big storm is supposed to pass through. I think this would be a great place to hang out and be cozy during a storm.
Was a great stay. All staff were friendly and helpful. The food at the on-site Terrace Room restaurant was delicious and fair priced. Would definitely stay here again.
My friends and I visited for a girls’ weekend getaway, ready to relax with some spa time, fine dining, and plenty of rest. Although we experienced a small scheduling mix-up with the spa, the way the Harbour Grand Hotel handled the situation truly stood out—it’s one of the few hotels I would gladly return to. Their thoughtfulness and hospitality were exceptional. The food at The Terrace and Brentwood was fantastic, and the location was perfect for window shopping and enjoying the lake views. One of my favorite touches was the breakfast delivered to our room in a charming picnic basket—it added such a cozy, homemade feel to our stay. Even though we visited in the fall, we loved watching the leaves change, enjoying the peaceful scenery, and catching up beside the many warm fireplaces. Thank you for making our trip such a special one!
My husband and I love staying here! The hotel is beautiful. We love the cozy vibes, breakfast is delivered to your room in the morning, the spa, the terrace room. The Harbor Grand never disappoints. This most recent stay I had a massage by Mary Anne! I highly recommend her and this wonderful hotel
